Lost In Time: What I’m Done Hearing About

This covers most of my list

Inspired by my dear friend Lady Keto, here is a list of things I don’t need to hear about after 2011. I’d like to think this list represents all of Australia and not just me. But be warned it may have a certain flavour to it.

Without further ado:

* The Kardashians
* By extension, Lamar Odom and Kris Humphries
* Text-speak
* White people using words like, ‘son’, ‘gangster’, ‘straight up’ and ‘that’s real’.
* The NBA Lockout
* Charlie Sheen
* #winning
* Two And A Half Men
* “Attractional vs Missional”
* Casey Anthony
* Australia mistreating refugees
* Julia Gillard and Tony Abbott
* Kyle Sandilands
* Anything that Kyle Sandilands has ever, is currently, or will ever be involved with

Yup. We're done here.

* “Doing life together”
* Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, or any combination of the two (and yes, that MOST DEFINITELY includes Two And A Half Men)
* The Community Hiatus (#savecommunity #sixseasonsandamovie #twelveseasonsandathemepark)
* Excessive use of hashtags
* Australians stupid enough to cause drug-related incidents in Bali
* “Obama’s America”
* Dubstep
* Qantas being grounded
* Political pay rises
* Religious persecution (the acts, not the reporting of it)
* Celebrity gossip news
* LeBron James
* Australian cricket’s batting line-up
* c Guptill b Martin (more for Phil Hughes’ sake than anything else)
* Steroids in baseball
* Greater Western Sydney
* Using Facebook to slander people
* Using Facebook to share personal feelings and emotions publicly
* Using Facebook to play games (Would you like to buy a cow for Farmville? Absolutely not. Not ever.)
* Having to repeat the above for 2012 when I felt like I already did it in 2010
* Sean Penn
* The Academy
* Emmy’s voters
* Dora the Explorer

And last, but most certainly not least:

Dirty nappies

Like I said…there is a certain flavour to it.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, everyone.
