The AFL Silver Linings Playbook

Rhyce was low on hats that day, but high on spirit.
Rhyce was low on hats that day, but high on spirit.

As a North Melbourne fan, seeing my team get pantsed by Sydney in the Preliminary Final is disappointing, to say the least.

But there is a silver lining.

The Rhyce Shaw Medal could – perhaps for the last time – be won by Rhyce Shaw himself.

This is not to be taken lightly

His Shawship, noblest among footballers for staunch defeat in the face of victory, is towards the end of his vaunted career, but nothing would place a turd-scented feather in his cap like a second Rhyce Shaw Medal.

If you’re not aware of the Rhyce Shaw Medal, you can catch up on its vaunted history here (though slightly out of date).
For a shorter, up-to-date version, see here.
For coverage of last year’s voting, see here.

But more importantly, vote on the day and hear what has been happening via our new Facebook page, here.

Happy voting.
